Eleven Sri Lankan school children from the Mihintale area have been admitted to the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital after developing an allergic reaction to a vaccine.
The children, aged between 6 and 13, had sought treatment for phlegm-related illnesses and had been administered vaccines at the Mihintale Hospital.
The children who developed allergic reactions following the vaccine were then transferred to the Anuradhapura Hospital.
An investigation has been launched into the incident by the North Central Provincial Director of Health Services. (Newswire)
