the People’s Action for Free & Fair Elections (PAFFREL) has said At least 19 presidential candidates are yet to engage in any campaign activity, Election monitoring body.
According to Lankadeepa newspaper, PAFFREL this week has launched a special inquiry in this regard.
The 2024 presidential election features the highest number of candidates, with only ten candidates actively engaged in campaign activities, the election monitoring body said
PAFFREL Executive Director Rohana Hettiarachchi said that certain candidates have not even set up a party office, while only ten candidates have obtained air time to present their election manifestos.
