Aussie Home Broker Danny Blair says 2023 was probably “the hardest year” for first home buyers in the last 12 years.
Mr Blair told Sky News Australia that the “rising interest rates” added difficulty to housing affordability.
“We had slow wage growth and we had a lack of housing supply.
“In saying this, we actually seen an increase in first home buyer activity in the market to higher than normal levels.
“18 per cent of the market was first home buyers in 2023, which is a six per cent jump on 2022.”
