Incredibles scenes as Australia win three golds in just over one hour

Australia has shot up the medal tally with two stunning history-making swims from Kaylee McKeown and Cameron McEvoy, 

While BMX star Saya Sakakibara blitzed the field in emotional scenes.

It is a gold rush for Australia on the seventh day of the Paris Olympic Games, 

Cameron McEvoy, Kaylee McKeown and BMX star Saya Sakakibara all victorious.

McEvoy kicked off the winning proceedings in the pool at La Defense Arena in Paris early on Saturday morning in the 50 metre freestyle final.

The 30-year-old Gold Coast swimmer was one of the heavy favourites going into the one-lap dash after recording the equal-fastest time in the semis 24 hours earlier.

Australia has enjoyed a stunning morning in Paris, adding three gold medals to our tally in a historic showing.

Cameron McEvoy, Kaylee McKeown and each won Olympic crowns on Saturday morning AEST in a historic evening of swimming action before BMX cyclist Saya Sakakibara won an emotional gold medal.
