In the upcoming Presidential Election Former senior cricketer Hashan Tillakaratne has extended his support for Opposition and Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Leader MP Sajith Premadasa.
Hashan Tillakaratne is currently the Head Coach of the Bangladesh women’s cricket team.

But In 2020, Apsari Tilakaratne, a key Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) activist, served as the Coordinating Secretary to Mahinda Rajapaksa during his tenure as the Prime Minister.
