Dhammika Perera has stated in his letter that he took this decision for personal reasons. Dhammika Perera had previously stated he is willing to be the Presidential Candidate of the SLPP.
He has expressed his gratitude to the party for considering his name as a candidate.
Meanwhile, the SLPP is likely to nominate Namal Rajapaksa as the candidate today morning at an auspicious time.
