Over 600 polls-related complaints reported

A total of 631 complaints related to the upcoming Presidential election have been received by the Election Commission as of August 18th evening.

The Commission said that the complaints were received during the period from July 31 to August 18.

They said that 65 complaints reported just August (18) were related to violations of election laws.

Out of the 631 complaints, the National Centre for Election Complaint Management received 346, while the District Centres for Election Complaint Management received 285.

All complaints were categorised as breaches of laws, with one incident of violence being reported.
