Sri Lankan younger popular singer Windy Goonatillake has received recognition in India for her viral song ‘Ayyo Sami’.

Windy Goonatillake won the award for the Best Sensational Song of the Year – 2023 at the 16th Edison Awards held in Chennai, South India recently.
Ayyo Saami’, written by Pottuvil Asmin and composed by Sanuka Wickramasinghe, became an immediate smash hit soon after its release, garnering over 22 million views on YouTube and more than 1 million play counts on Spotify.
