International student hit and killed by car allegedly driven by friend in Sydney

An international student has been killed in Sydney’s south-west after he was struck by a car allegedly driven by his friend.

Ismail Hossain was being dropped home on Cornelia Street in Wiley Park when his friend, 24, allegedly went to reverse but instead hit the accelerator.

A man in his 20s has died after he was allegedly hit by a car while he was standing outside his house in south-west Sydney.

Ismail Hossain was standing near the Toyota Corolla that Nasir Uddin was driving. Hossain was directing Uddin where to park outside the house in Cornelia Street, Wiley Park, shortly before 12.30am, when Uddin allegedly rammed into him.

The car, a Toyota Corolla, hit and killed Hossain at the scene just after midnight.
