Police have arrested 10 foreigners, including two women, in Chilaw area in connection with online financial fraud.
It is reported that the police made the arrest last night during a raid on a hotel in the area.
Police officers have made this arrest after receiving information that a group of suspicious foreigners are staying in a hotel located on Chilaw-Iranawila road.
Among the arrested suspects are four Malaysians, four Ethiopians including a woman, a Kenyan woman and a Chinese national.
During the raid, 20 computers, 282 mobile phones and three routers were also taken into police custody.
