The Melbourne Cup carnival saw strong tourist numbers in Victoria from both interstate and international, according to The Langham Director of Sales and Marketing André Jacques.
Mr Jacques told Sky News Australia the Melbourne Cup has cemented Melbourne as the “special events capital” of Australia.
“The Victorian racing carnival did an incredible job this year.
“Visitation numbers were up, a lot of activations.
“Melbournians should feel very proud of what was executed.”
