Taylor Swift fans are being warned to be wary of ticket scalpers

Taylor Swift fans are being warned to be watch for ticket scalpers attempting to rip off Swifties by selling tickets at inflated prices.

Victorian inspectors have busted scammers trying to illegally sell more than 1000 seats to Swift’s February concerts at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Some tickets that originally sold for $370 were being listed for prices as high as $2000.

In Victoria, selling tickets to major events for more than 10 per cent over the face value is illegal.

Fines as high as $576,930 apply for companies that breach the law and individuals can be fined up to $962.

Swift is set to perform three shows at the MCG on February 16, 17 and 18.
