According to a Roy Morgan single source survey conducted in the 12 months to March 2023 in Australia, around 44 percent of respondents drank wine in an average four-week period. In the same period, just over 32 percent of respondents drank beer.
The beer category has witnessed a long-term decline over the past few years, with less than a third of Australians now consuming beer in an average four-week period, down from 37.6 percent in the 12 months to March 2020.
