Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced he will travel to Far North Queensland later this week.
Far North Queensland has been greatly affected by the record flooding following ex-Tropical Cyclone Jasper.
“Of course, it will be some difficult days and weeks ahead,” Mr Albanese said during a media conference on Tuesday.
“One of the things that I find, though, is at the worst of times, brings out the best of the Australian character.
“We’re seeing that from the stories coming from Far North Queensland at the moment.”
