Apple has added the iPhone 5s to its Obsolete products list, ceasing all hardware services and stopping the distribution of spare parts to third-party technicians.
Products become obsolete when Apple has stopped selling them for over seven years.
The iPhone 5s, launched in September 2013, introduced the Touch ID fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button for improved security and convenience.
The iPhone 5s also featured the A7 chip, the first 64-bit processor in a smartphone, the M7 motion coprocessor, which improved motion-sensing capabilities.
Its 8-megapixel iSight camera was upgraded with a larger aperture and pixels for better low-light performance and image quality.
The addition of the True Tone flash further enhanced photo quality by providing more natural-looking lighting. Other iPhone models on the Obsolete products list include the original iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5C, and iPhone 6 Plus.
