Apple has urged iPhone and iPad users to update their devices immediately to close a security hole.
The company has warned of a security vulnerability that hackers may already be exploiting.
The security issue was discovered by the Citizen Lab at the University of Toronto.
Apple says users should update to iOS 16.6.1 or iPadOS16.6.1.
“Processing a maliciously crafted image may lead to arbitrary code execution,” Apple said.
“Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.”
To update your device go to the settings menu, select general and then software update.
