A major refuelling issue at Perth Airport has caused the cancellation of at least 59 international and domestic flights, causing chaos for thousands of passengers who are now stranded.
The refuelling issue is impacting outgoing flights and some incoming flights, a Perth Airport spokesperson has confirmed.
It’s not known how much longer flights will be impacted as experts continue to work to resolve the issue.
The issue has resulted in a loss of pressure in the refuelling system,” a Perth Airport spokesperson said.
“We have external experts working on potential solutions and we are exploring every option to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”
The issue means aircraft arriving at the airport are unable to be refuelled and depart in the Western Australian city.
