Aussies have been left shocked after finding a pack of Tim Tams will now set them back $6.
Last week, posts began emerging online to discuss the outrageous price of the pack of biscuits at both Coles and Woolworths.
Meanwhile, the price of Tim Tams remained at $5 at IGA.
One Reddit user posted a picture of the Aussie staple with the new price tag and told others they remembered when a pack set them back just $4.50.
“Are the supermarkets aiming towards $10 for Tim Tams, Red Rock Deli chips, Cadbury chocolate bar etc…” another user wrote.
“That’s in Australia? They’re half that in Canada and they have to import them from Australia,” said a third.
Another Redditor simply said it was “just un-Australian”.
“Farewell Old Friend and sustainer of my kilos,” wrote another.
In a moment of irony, one user said: “Bloody hell! That’s IGA prices”.
While many were infuriated over the price, others mentioned how the ingredients of the Tim Tam had changed in recent years, with some saying they did not need a price increase to stop buying them.
