Australians rate Voice to Parliament as 17th most important issue

On the eve of the Voice to Parliament referendum, a new poll shows Australian voters rate the voice as their 17th most important issue.

Their primary concerns are the cost of living, health, employment, and education.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has made an 11th-hour plea to support the Yes campaign at a rally in Perth as the No vote is ahead in the polls.

The poll found Yes voters are motivated by a desire to ‘do the right thing’ while No supporters are likely to object to the proposal’s ‘details and impact’.

Opposition leader Peter Dutton says it is time for the government to focus on issues affecting Australians.
