Biden condemns ‘sick’ shooting at Trump rally

US President Joe Biden has condemned the assassination attempt on Republican rival Donald Trump as “sick” in a brief press conference this morning.

Trump was left bleeding after shots rang out at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania earlier this morning, and was swiftly escorted to safety.

Two people have been killed, including the suspected shooter, law enforcement says.

“President Trump looks forward to joining you all in Milwaukee as we proceed with our convention to nominate him to serve as the 47th President of the United States,” according to the statement attributed to Trump campaign senior advisors Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita.

We will not tolerate violence of any kind, and violence like this is an attack on our democracy. The Justice Department will bring every available resource to bear to this investigation,” Garland says in a statement.
