An entrepreneur from Hong Kong bought a conceptual artwork consisting of a banana stuck to a wall for millions of dollars last week.
It is said that Justin Sun, born in China, removed the tape from the artwork and tasted the banana for 9.5 million dollars.
He is said to have said that it is more delicious than other bananas.
A conceptual work (titled Comedian) by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan reportedly sold at Sotheby’s in New York with Mr. Sun out of seven bidders.
In a press conference, he stated that eating it could become a part of history.
In another instance, Cattlen said the debut of the edible design at the 2019 Art Basel exhibition in Miami Beach had sparked controversy fellow artist Devid Daththuna at the 2019 exhibition when he pulled the banana off the wall and casually ate it in front of a crowd of onlookers.
