Just one day after announcing his retirement, cricketer David Warner has turned to social media to plead for the return of his prized baggy green.
In an Instagram post, Warner says a backpack containing the iconic cap was taken from his luggage somewhere between the team hotel in Melbourne and baggage claim in Sydney.
CCTV footage from both the hotel and airports has so far turned up no clues.
“Someone has taken my backpack out of my actual luggage,” said Warner.
“It’s something that I would love to have back in my hands, walking out there come this week.”
