A 3.2 magnitude earthquake has occurred near Woodend in the state of Victoria.
According to the Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at around 10.45 am today in Woodend, 70 kilometers north-west of Melbourne.
It is also said that this earthquake occurred about seven kilometers underground.
It has been reported that around 103 people felt the earthquake in areas including Ballarat, Gisborne, Trentham and Bacchus Marsh.
Also, after the main earthquake, a small aftershock of 1.6 on the Richter scale has also been reported.
Victoria’s state emergency services said no damage was expected given the record level of tremors.
A few days after a magnitude 4.0 earthquake was reported on the coast of Western Australia last Thursday, several cities south of Perth were also affected.
It was also reported that after the 4.1 magnitude earthquake in the Upper Hunter region, electricity was cut off to about 2,500 homes in New South Wales.
