Eddie Jones has committed to staying on as Wallabies head coach but stressed the decision is not up to him.
It follows Australia’s disappointing performance at the Rugby World Cup in France.
“We got to do a review and obviously the results were disappointing, everyone is gutted by it, especially myself,” he said during a media conference on Tuesday.
“But I stand by the decisions we have made and I think we have left Australian rugby in a better position.”
The coach also denied claims he spoke with Japan to potentially coach the national side.
