The 2024 Elpitiya local council election polling will be held today.
The Election Commission stated that the departure of officials for election-related duties, transportation of ballot papers and ballot boxes was done yesterday.
The Election Commission announced that 55,643 voters have qualified to vote in 48 centers and the polling will be held according to the 2018 voter list.
Election Commission Chairman R.M.A.L. Ratnayake mentioned that the polling for the Elpitiya local council election will be held from 7 am to 4 pm.
He also stated that all necessary security measures have been planned for that.
In addition to this, the Executive Director of PAFRAL Organization, Rohana Hettiarachchi stated that during the Elpitiya local council elections, they are going to deploy their officers for the monitoring of all the polling stations.
