Likening Billionaire businessman and entrepreneur Elon Musk to an economic hitman, National Peoples’ Power (NPP) member Sunil Handunneththi says the government has opened its doors to such foreign investors.
Addressing the media, Handunneththi said the Board of Investment (BOI) has been completely altered to bring in people like Elon Musk.
He further pointed out that Elon Musk was an economic hitman, similar to Hungarian-American billionaire hedge fund manager and philanthropist George Soros and Australian billionaire businessman and investor James Packer.
Stating that investors such as Elon Musk do not offer anything for free, Handunneththi said the government has promised to bring in such foreign investors into Sri Lanka.
NPP Member Handunneththi added that President Ranil Wickremesinghe was attempting to do so by introducing the Economic Transformation Bill, which he said was never requested by the people. (Newswire)
