Indian Defence Minister’s Sri Lanka visit postponed

The scheduled visit of Minister of Defence of India Rajnath Singh has been postponed.

According to the Defence Ministry of India, Minister Rajnath Singh’s visit to Sri Lanka has been deferred to a later date, due to unavoidable circumstances.

The Ministry said Minister Rajnath Singh remains committed to strong bilateral cooperation between India and Sri Lanka and he looks forward to visiting the island at the earliest possible time frame.

Minister of Defence of India Rajnath Singh was scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on a two-day official visit, tomorrow.

Minister of Defence of India Rajnath Singh was scheduled to call on President Ranil Wickremesinghe to discuss defence ties between the two nations.

According to the Defence Ministry of India, the entire gamut of India’s defence ties with Sri Lanka was to be reviewed during the visit of Minister Rajnath Singh.
