Jetstar is expanding its network by introducing new routes to New Zealand, with discounted tickets available to celebrate the launch.
Starting in June 2025, the airline will add direct flights from the Gold Coast to Hamilton and Dunedin in New Zealand.
Qantas’ budget offshoot revealed on Monday it will start flying to Hamilton in New Zealand’s Waikato region from the Gold Coast and Sydney from mid-next year.
Flights from Sydney will commence on June 16 and operate four days a week, while services from the Gold Coast will start two days later and run three times a week.
“It’s been 12 years since we had an international service out of Hamilton Airport, so let’s give it 100 per cent support,” Hamilton Airport’s website said of the new flights.
Jetstar Group CEO Stephanie Tully said the new services will mark the first time the low-cost carrier has flown to Hamilton.
Flights will start from just $155, for the Gold Coast to Hamilton, while Sydney to Hamilton is priced from $159, and the Gold Coast to Dunedin from $169.
The new direct flights will begin from June next year.
“To celebrate the route launch they have launched a quick 24-hour sale with tickets up for grabs from 10am this morning.
“You will be able to grab a ticket between the Gold Coast and Hamilton for $155, Gold Coast to Dunedin for $169, or you can fly Sydney to Hamilton for $159 there as well.
