Labor has ‘put all their eggs in one basket’ with renewables push

Shadow Environment Minister Jonathon Duniam has criticised the Victorian and federal Labor governments after plans to develop an offshore wind turbine were blocked.

The plan to build a $27 million Renewable Energy Terminal to produce wind turbines was blocked on environmental grounds.

“So many people were depending on this project for jobs,” Mr Duniam told Sky News Australia.

“State Labor and federal Labor have joined together … talking up the merits of this project knowing all along that it would face a massive challenge when it came to the importance of this.

“Attached to that is the fact that this government federally and along with the Labor government in Victoria have put all their eggs in one basket when it comes to renewables”.
