One of the largest prizes in national historyAustralians are less than 24 hours away from learning if they have won $100 million in the Powerball
Entries close both in-store and online at 7.30pm AEST today before the lottery is drawn tonight.
The Lott expects up to half of all Australian adults to grab a ticket into the draw.
“This is the time when office chatter turns into work syndicates, and everyone becomes a dreamer, plotting how they’d spend a share of the phenomenal $100 million prize,” the Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said.
“The last time we saw a $100 million Powerball draw was in May when, the peak of sales was at 6.44pm on the day of the draw when more than 7980 tickets were sold in a single minute.
“On that occasion, the prize wasn’t won and it jackpotted to $150 million, which delivered Australia’s biggest individual lottery winner – an Adelaide man.”
