A man has been shot dead on a suburban street in Melbourne’s outer fringe.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said the man was found dead outside a home on Middlemount Street in Donnybrook at about 4:20am.
“Emergency services performed CPR on the man, however, he died at the scene,” the spokesperson said.
Homicide Squad detectives are overseeing the investigation.
No arrests have been made in relation to the death.
A large crime scene was established on the quiet street overnight, with a number of police officers still on the street as daylight broke.
