Medical teams at a Melbourne hospital have succeeded in successfully using microsurgery robotics.
Accordingly, it is said that St. Vincent’s Hospital has become the first hospital in the Southern Hemisphere to successfully complete operations with microsurgery robotics.
Symani, the robot, recently visited St. Vincent’s Hospital for surgery on a patient who had a tumor removed from his thigh and needed a skin graft.
The 71-year-old patient said the surgery was amazing and did not need to take any medication after the surgery.
A special feature of this robot is that it can perform accurate surgery on blood vessels less than a millimeter without any vibration.
The doctors mentioned that this machine has capabilities that are beyond the limits of a surgeon and that this will give them the opportunity to perform activities that are difficult or impossible for them personally.
They also point out that this technology can be used to treat medical conditions such as head and neck surgery and breast cancer.
According to the reports of St. Vincent’s Hospital, only 21 such robots are operating for patients in all countries of the world.
