A Melbourne mother’s three-decade old dream came true last night when she won $1 million in Powerball.
The woman, who has been regularly buying lotto tickets for 30 years, held the only division one winning entry across the country in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 4365.
She said the winning numbers came to her in a dream.
“I dreamed that I won using these numbers, so we’ve been playing them for the past 30 years,” she said.
The woman explained she played the ticket for her children, and that she had already won smaller amounts, but had been confident she would win “the big one” one day.
“I never doubted I would win – never!”
She said the money would be a huge help for the family.
“I can’t wait to tell them,” she said.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 257 so far in FY24, including 84 won by Tatts customers.
