Melbourne residents Googled ways to cope with being out of work about 1,040 times a month, it said.
The third place in this list has been given to Singapore and the 4th place to the American city of New York.
870 Sydneysiders, who came in at number 5, found on Google how they coped with being out of work at least once, and a recent survey found that 48 per cent of Australian workers experience stress at work on a daily basis.
Toronto, Montreal, Amsterdam, Los Angeles and Berlin are also included in this list.
According to new data, 420 Berliners are said to be looking for ways to cope with being out of a job every month this year.
