More Victorian police officers are ready to quit

A new survey has found a rising number of Victoria Police officers are suffering extreme fatigue and are ready to quit the job.

The survey of over 1,000 officers revealed three out of four are experiencing extreme fatigue and burnout with more than one in four ready to leave the force.

Overall job satisfaction is at an all-time low of just 33 per cent.

It follows recent wage and condition disputes across the state sector as officers prepare to launch industrial action.

Victoria’s Police Association is demanding a four per cent pay rise and better work-life balance.
