New tattoo rules to boost the ranks of Victoria Police

New laws have been introduced that will allow Victoria police officers to get a tattoo on the back of their neck or arm.

Previously, officers were allowed to have tattoos only if they could cover them while on duty and only if the officers were officers with special abilities.

It has been emphasized that tattooing on the face, head or front of the neck is not allowed and the types of ink used for it should not be harmful.

As a result of these new laws introduced last March, 86 applicants who lost their jobs due to tattoo designs have also been able to apply for jobs again.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said that with the new legislation, police would no longer be required to remove applications from eligible individuals.

Last year, 135 people who applied to join the police or security services were rejected because of their tattoos.

It is said that the Victoria Police have come to this policy change due to the fact that they are facing many problems due to the shortage of officers.

The Victoria Police Association recently announced that there are currently more than 1000 vacancies in Victoria Police.
