A NSW property is on the market for just $65,000 — but there is, of course, a catch.
The Tottenham property, located about six hours from Sydney, is a former church.
It is situated on 1010sqm and has power, water and sewerage available.
Photos included in the listing show the outside of the property, with no images included of the interior.
A previous Domain listing reveals the property was sold at auction in December last year for just $20,000.
The listing has been shared multiple times on social media by users interested in purchasing old churches.
While some declared the property “has lots of potential”, others labelled it a “money pit of neglect”.
“What a shame it wasn’t regularly maintained, as (it’s) a cute little church,” one person said.
Another person said the former church is situated on a big block and is an “open canvas” with lots of history.
“(It) could be a weekender/getaway,” they said.
“Slowly tidy it up, get some beds, a camping stove and camping shower.
“I have an old country church and look at the churches for sale regularly, you can’t get them at this price.
“It needs, paint, soap and water, working bees and respect for its history and place in the town. What a find!”
Another observer argued that the property simply “needs a lot of love”.
