NSW town rattled by another earthquake

NSW’s Hunter region has been rattled by a 3.0-magnitude earthquake, one of several felt in the area in the past month

Muswellbrook was shaken by the earthquake about 3.22pm today, with dozens reporting tremors in the area.

The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 1km in the Upper Hunter region.

Geoscience Australia said 28 people had reported feeling the quake by about 4.20pm on Monday.

It comes just weeks after a 4.5-magnitude quake struck in Muswellbrook town of Edderton just before 6am on September 7 at a depth of 5km.
