Tourism and Transport Forum CEO Margy Osmond says 2024 is the “year of the cruise” as a rising number of younger Australians are cruise-curious.
New data from Tourism and Transport Forum reveals one in four Australians are interested in booking a cruise.
“The interesting thing about this is it’s probably a continuation of a trend we’ve been seeing across the board with younger people,” Ms Osmond told Sky News Australia.
“They’re all looking for new ways to discover more about Australia and doing it a slightly different way.
“I think also what you’ve got is a huge number of ships now, you’ve got everything from the Virgin ships … through to the Disney ships.”
