Israel’s ambassador to Australia is accusing Anthony Albanese of providing contradictory messages over Israel’s conflict in Gaza.
Israel’s war with Hamas began after the Palestinian terrorist group launched attacks on October 7.
Amir Maimon is questioning how the Prime Minister can support the removal of Hamas from power in Gaza and also call for a ceasefire in the Middle East.
Mr Maimon says Israel’s fight against Hamas is being treated differently to Australia’s operations in Afghanistan and Israeli citizens do not feel secure in Australia.
His comments come as Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the country is not considering a halt to the fighting.
