Police have allegedly seized almost $30 million worth of dangerous drugs in searches of two Gold Coast properties.
About 27 kilograms of methamphetamine was allegedly found in raids at two properties in Bundall and Surfers Paradise this week.
A 30-year-old man was arrested and charged with drug offences on Tuesday.
Police said he appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody until November 8.
Detective Acting Inspector Russell Joyce said the seizure was part of a police operation targeting the supply of drugs across South-east Queensland.
“”This is a significant outcome in the context of the harm caused to the local community by this alleged criminal syndicate,” he said in a statement.
