Popular instant noodle buy urgently recalled from hundreds of stores

A popular brand of instant noodles has been urgently recalled amid fears it could cause illness in some consumers.

Monta Group Holdings Pty Ltd has pulled its Big Cup Noodle Curry from shelves due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (peanuts).

Food Standards Australia says the buy has been available for sale at independent and Asian grocers across New South Wales.

Only products with a best before date of June 19, 2024 have been affected by the recall.

Customers have been urged to take the following steps with the recalled item.

“Consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance should not consume this product,” Food Safety Australia said in a new alert.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
