Pressure on NSW government to fast-track drug summit

There is growing pressure on the New South Wales government to bring forward its proposed drug summit.

The pressure comes after two men in their 20s died from suspected drug overdoses at the Knockout Sydney music festival.

The pair attended the Knockout Outdoor Festival at Olympic Park on Saturday night where nine other festivalgoers needed urgent medical attention.

The state government previously promised to hold a drug summit in its first term to review its drug policy, including its stance on pill testing.

They have yet to set a date.
