Liberal MP Julian Leeser is pushing for a ban on vehicle convoys in local protests.
Mr Leeser is calling on New South Wales Premier Chris Minns to ban convoys of cars from participating in demonstrations.
The politician is arguing they can exacerbate the public during protests.
He said the recent antisemitic rallies had unsettled members of the Jewish community and the involvement of vehicles posed a danger to pedestrians and other drivers.
Cars waving Palestinian flags were seen driving through Sydney’s east this week as another pro-Palestinian convoy is planned in Western Sydney for Saturday.
