Red wine recalled due to presence of allergen

A red wine has been recalled because it may contain an undeclared allergen.

Brand New Vintage has recalled bottles of Journeyman Shiraz 2021.

It has been on sale at Cellarbrations, Bottle O and independent retailers including IGA Liquor in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.

Affected bottles have the marking Lot ID: L123214.

The allergen it contains is sulphites.

“Any consumers who have a sulphites allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” Food Standards Australia New Zealand said.

Bottles should be returned to the place they were bought for a refund.
