Previously, the most liked social media comment was “Most liked comment about GTA 6 before GTA 6,” which amassed 4.5 million likes on TikTok. Dylan Page accomplished this feat in February after setting out on a two-month-long campaign to snag the record.

Notably, the previously most-liked Instagram comment stood at nearly 3.8 million likes. The backstory is that a 13-year-old boy told his followers, “Okay, when I hit 200,000 followers, I’ll do whatever the top comment says on this video and post it.” In response, someone with the username “Fiven9nekid” commented:

“Fly to small town in Thailand, get accepted by their people, learn the language, train in muy thai for a year and half, fight in a tournament, win the tournament, return to the USA and join the UFC, stay in shape and go undefeated in your weight class, retire and do an interview saying this comment was the reason you fought so hard….”

Additionally, the most-liked YouTube comment in history, boasting 3.8 million likes, was written for the first-ever video uploaded to the platform. The San Diego Zoo proudly commented, “We’re so honored that the first ever YouTube video was filmed here.”

In terms of Ronaldo’s record-breaking comment, it has tallied over five million likes in just two days and continues to climb.
