Australia’s parliament has passed a new law banning social media for children under 16.
The ban was approved by the Senate (29th) after presenting the bill within a week after months of public debate.
With this approval, Australia has become the first country in the world to pass such a law.
However, reports indicate that it will take about a year to implement this law.
It is said that according to that act, a fine of up to 50 million dollars has been proposed against the violators of the laws imposed on children under 16 years of age.
Meanwhile, this bill has received the support of many members of Australia’s main opposition party, the Liberal Party.
