Sri Lanka parliament passes law to delay foreclosed assets

Sri Lanka’s parliament voted to pass an amendment that will delay banks from auctioning collateral of bad loans by Board decison.

The changes to the Recovery of Loans by Banks (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Bill seeks to delay so-called ‘parate execution’ till December 2024.
