The total number of foreign tourist arrivals recorded in Sri Lanka this year has exceeded 1,250,000.
Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, approximately 1,271,432 foreign tourists have visited the island so far this year.
According to a majority of the foreign visitors are Indian tourists and this figure is 237,649.
The large numbers of tourists from countries including Russia, Britain, Germany, China and France have also arrived in the Sri Lanka this year.
Specially it is also reported that a total of 73,373 tourists have visited the Sri Lanka in the first 11 days of this month.
