Susan Wojcicki, former YouTube CEO, dies at 56

Susan Wojcicki, Former Youtube chief executive a tech pioneer who was one of Google’s earliest employees, has died after living with lung cancer for two years, 

according to her husband said She was 56.

Husband Dennis Troper said Wojcicki was “not just my best friend and partner in life, but a brilliant mind, a loving mother, and a dear friend to many”.

She was previously a senior vice-president for ad products at Google and became CEO of YouTube in 2014. Before Google, Wojcicki worked at Intel and Bain & Company

Wojcicki, one of the most prominent women in tech, stepped down from her role at YouTube in 2023, a position she held for nine years, saying she wanted to “start a new chapter focused on my family, health and personal projects I’m passionate about”
